had a job meeting about 1.5 hrs away. We took the 225 hp manual TT . I offere d to drive (his car) but was declined. We were following the boss’s 2.7tt All road. Both vehicles made it there and back. I like the TT. It had enough power so you could feel things inside you sloshing around.

This one got a bad rap for being too “ basic VW” and coming from the low-reliability era, but they weren’t bad at all. And still easily among the Top 10 mainstream designs of the modern era. Maybe of all time.

My father in law had one of these and absolutely loved the thing. Too bad it spent more time in the shop than being driven.
